Pillar, based in Kuala Lumpur, is your ”extended family” for elderly care at home with skilled Care Specialists. You can find all of your needs here through our carefully selected, verified and trustworthy Care Specialists, who are experts in their fields. With hundreds of healthcare professionals and providers in our network, we are Asia’s most comprehensive company focused on helping our elderly age gracefully.
Once a client contacts Pillar, our Care Advisors discuss with you (or your loved one) the client’s needs including learning about their current health status, living situation, and location.
From there, we typically schedule a Video Consultation (VC) or Home Consultation (HC) to more fully assess the client’s health and living situation. Usually, a Video Consultation is just fine but for more complex cases we may send a nurse to your home.
From there, our expert nurse assessor determines if the client needs “fully dependent” care–usually in cases such that the client is bed-bound or has serious medical conditions, or needs “semi dependent” care–usually in cases where the client is more active, and likely not bed-bound.
Finally, and once the nurses analysis is complete, it takes up to 48 hours (but usually less time) to assign a highly trained Care Specialist to your case. In addition, our nurse will work with you to decide if you need a stay-in or stay-out Care Specialist and for how many days per week. Most clients are looking for Care Specialists for at least two weeks, but oftentimes for a month, or several months. The most cost-effective services are those contracted for on a monthly basis.
The cost of services varies based on the type and length of services. We offer packages for one month or longer only as this is what the vast majority of our clients need. Generally, prices start at RM4300 per month for full-time care but please follow our Facebook page as special promotions are sometimes offered. For services needed for less than one month, we can help you via our affiliated company. Please enquire. For nursing, medical, and other services, the prices will vary based on the client’s requirements or complexity of his/her situation. However, our goal is to find the best quality services for our precious elderly, and do our best to find you the most cost-effective services. Payment for the various services usually done via online banking or cheque, but soon we will offer online payment options directly via this website.
